Assistant & Volunteer

Robot Challenge Participation

RSL is participating in a number of robotics challenges that target the application of ANYmal in real world scenarios. In the DARPA SubTerrenean Challenge, ANYmal is used to explore unknown underground environments. In the MBZIRC, ANYmal needs to find objects and build a wall fully autonomously.

These challenges are perfect projects for students to engage as a volunteer with the research labs, to learn about robotics, prepare you for your future carreer and to work in a team of students, researchers, and engineers towards a successful competition. Work time is flexible throughout the entire year. If you are interested to join us, please fill out this external page form.

Student Group Project

We are facing a large number of environmental problems where robotic technologies offer huge potential to help. The Robotic Systems Lab in collaboration with several industrial partners wants to support activities in this area and offer (teams of) students to jointly work on such topics.

Robotic solutions for plastic waste collection in rivers

Together with ALPLA, the world leading company in the development and production of plastic packaging solutions, we are investigating the potential development of robotic solutions for plastic waste collection. Preliminary studies and figured out that the majority of the plastic in oceans originates from a handful of rivers, which might be collected with robots before even entering the oceans.

If you are interested in joining this student research team, please fill out this external page form and indicated your interest in the river waste project.

Student Research Assisstant

We offer limited numbers of research assisstant positions. Students of ETH Zurich who are in interested in working for us can express their interest here. Please fill out this external page form

If your skills correspond to our project needs, we will contact you.
