DynaArm
DynaArm is lightweight yet highly dynamic robotic arm that was developed and optimized for legged robots. It is a compact and agile appendage that can be easily mounted onto the body of any robot. It features 6 degrees of freedom, allowing it to move and adjust its position and orientation of the end effector anywhere within its (1m) reachability in space. The arm is designed to be lightweight (8kg) to minimize the extra weight burden on the robot and improve its overall agility but doesn’t compromise in payload (8kg) and speed (10m/s). It may incorporate various sensors and tools such as cameras, grippers or other end-effectors to enable a wide range of applications such as object manipulation, inspection and exploration. Its compact size and flexibility makes it well-suited for use in challenging environments where space is limited and where the robot needs to move with high mobility and dexterity.
The arm features:
- Water and dust resistant making it ideal for outdoor and indoor environment.
- High back drivability which makes it suitable for teleoperation, human robot interaction, robust on impacts, etc.
- Joint Torque, Velocity, Position Control both in joint and task space, which opens up possibilities for optimized control.
- Foldable design to save space when stored or when the robot moves around.
- Dynamic breaking system which slows down the fall of the arm in case of power failure.
- Programable safety layers at actuator level such as max speed, current, torque, joint limits and many more.
